So, what is Sleep Apnea? (sp?)?
I'm not sure if I spelled that right..
Anyways, when I got up this morning I heard my mom talking to my stepdad about me, and she thinks that I may have it.
I have no idea what that is.
I looked it up, but all the definitions that I have found use some big medical terms and whatnots and I just want a simple explanation.
Can anyone give me some information on it, using words that are easy to understand?
I don't need some big long definition. I just want to know what it is.
&& a little information about it also.
I mean, is it something that I need to worry about?
Maybe something I should see a doctor about?

Sleep apnea is when you stop breathing in your sleep for brief moments. It causes you to lack oxygen during your sleep, do you wake up tired? Groggy? Dry mouthed from snoring? (some who suffer apnea snore loudly when they begin breathing again) There are types of head wear that holds your head to certain angles to help counteract having Apnea. I assume your mom will take you to a doctor and they can explain much more at your level.
