how can i lower my blood pressure right away?
i am out of my medication and am waiting for my mail order to get here. but Aetna takes weeks and my bp is 150/90. i have a headache and can see weird zigzag things out of the corner of my right eye. i dont want to/cant go to ER, so please dont suggest that. any suggestions to lower the bp that i can do now besides laying on my left side or sitting quietly? and please no smart answers like lose weight. i am 115 pounds.
Do NOT risk your health to home remedies. I'm not sure your reasons behind not going to the er or not being able to go but this is serious! I know you probably understand it is serious and are scared but you must go to the hospital if you are experiencing symptoms. At least call your hospital and describe what is happening. If you refuse to do that, you risk permanently damaging your health, maybe even risking your life. If money is the issue - it would be better to be slowly paying off the hospital bill alive, than being dead. If you will not call the hospital or go there, please please please call your doctors office first thing in the morning and let them know what is going on. Ethically they have to help you - the hospital or your doctor.
Having such high blood pressure can also damage the back of your eye - this could result in permanent vision loss and blindness. Not something you want to happen.
Are you experiencing a headache in the back of your head? Any nausea? Tingling in the fingers and toes? Weakness? Any of these symptoms are considered hypertensive emergencies and you should be evaluated immediately!!!
