Excessive Thirst/Urinanation?

Out of the blue i have started excessively feeling thirsty and drinking loads of water which my mum says is causing me to urinate quite alot more than i did before. My mum took my to the doctors and i got tested for diabetes melltius and it was negative. I have told my grandmother about the symptoms and she looked in this medical book she has and it looks like i might have diabetes insipidus. I am hopefully going to the doctors soon to be tested for that but is the anything else i might have?
Im only 12 so i don't really drink caffiene or alcohol.

Have you considered whether or not you might be consuming something diuretic, which would explain both the thirst and the urination? It's the simplest and most common cause of this condition, and the easiest to fix.

Diuretics are drugs that make you urinate frequently. Big culprits are alcohol and caffeine.

Caffeine is the sneaky one... It's easy to know if you drink alcohol every day, but caffeine sneaks into a lot of products besides coffee and tea (be wary of 'energy drinks' like Monster and Rock Star, and over-the-counter drugs)...

If you exercise or work out regularly, you produce dopamine, which is another diuretic.

The constant urination dehydrates you.

Cut out all caffeine and alcohol for a few days, make sure to rehydrate with water throughout the day, especially after workouts. See if the condition eases.
